உயர்கல்வியில், தமிழக முதல்வர் ஸ்டாலின் காலம் பொற்காலம். இந்தியா அளவில், உயர்கல்வியில், 53 சதவீதம் பேர் படித்திருப்பது தமிழகத்தில் தான். அதிலும், பெண்கள் தான் அதிகம்.பி.ஏ., பி.எஸ்சி., படிப்புக்கு கூட நுழைத்தேர்வு நடத்த வேண்டும் என மத்திய அரசு அறிவித்து வருகிறது.பிளஸ் 2 வகுப்பில் வாங்கும் மதிப்பெண் அடிப்படையிலேயே உயர் கல்வியில் சேர்க்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
நுழைவுத்தேர்வு தேவையில்லை என்பது தான் இந்த அரசின் கொள்கை.மாணவ, மாணவிகளும் குரல் கொடுத்து, இந்தக் கொள்கையில் திடமாகவும், உறுதியாகவும் இருக்க வேண்டும்.கடந்த 10 ஆண்டுகளாக கடன் சுமை, நிதி நிலைமை மிகவும் மோசமாகி விட்டது. இதை எல்லாம் சமாளித்துத் தான், கல்வித் துறையை வளர்க்க வேண்டியுள்ளது.கல்வியை, மாநிலப் பட்டியலில் கொண்டு வருவது தொடர்பாக பார்லிமென்டில் வலியுறுத்தி வருகிறோம்.
