ORDER:
The Government of Tamil Nadu has been implementing the scheme of distribution c free of cost laptop computers to the students in the State so as to facilitate them in acquirin knowledge. Due to pandemic outbreak of COVID-19, considering the welfare of thes- students, online classes are being conducted by all the educational institutions.
In order to facilitate the Students Community in having access to the onlim classes and to keep them abreast in studies, it is proposed to provide data card to all th students studying in Government, Government Aided Arts and Science College Polytechnic Colleges/Engineering Colleges and to the students studying in Self-financin Institutions who are availing scholarships, so as to enable them to access the online classe: The Government hereby accord administrative sanction for procurement 9,69,047 Data Cards through ELCOT to provide 2 GB Data per day for four months fro January 2021 to April 2021 to 9,69,047 students studying in Government and Governme Aided Arts and Sciences/ Polytechnic Colleges/Engineering Colleges and to the students Self -financing Institutions who are availing scholarships by following the Fixed Ra Contract Methodology contained in Rule 31A of Transparency in Tenders Rules, 2000 and particular Rule 31 A (2) (d). (e) and (f).
The Managing Director, ELCOT is directed to send necessary financ requirement on completion of the Tender process and arriving at Rate Contract.
