The case came to trial last February. The Supreme Court had said that the central government should ensure that all SIM cards in the country are linked to Aadhar number. Accordingly, the government announced a few days ago that the mobile number that did not connect to the Aadhar number would be disrupted by February 18.
In this condition social activist and RD Rajkumar Palanisamy, who is receiving various information through the RTI, had requested to link Aadhaar number with the mobile number and whether the mobile connection of the Aadhaar card was disconnected. The central government responded by saying, "We have not given any instructions about it and they have no information."
