தமிழக அரசு ஊழியர்களுக்கு பழைய பென்ஷன் மீண்டும் அமல்? பரிசீலனையில் உள்ளதாக உயரதிகாரி தகவல்

The Government of Tamil Nadu has stated that it is considering abolishing the new contributory pension scheme for Tamil Nadu government employees and re-implementing the old pension scheme. During the AIADMK regime, a new pension scheme was implemented in Tamil Nadu from 1.4.2003. Of this, 6 lakh civil servants and teachers were included. Government employees and teachers have been fighting against this since the day the contributory pension scheme came into effect. Government employees have been fighting for 19 years against the contributory pension scheme. Government employees and teachers have objected to the implementation of the new Benefit Pension Scheme as no benefits such as allowances, pensions, medical insurance, etc. will be available under the new pension scheme. In this context, the state governments of West Bengal, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh canceled the new pension scheme. The Governments of Kerala, Delhi and Andhra Pradesh have received the report of the Panel of Experts and announced that they intend to implement the old Benefit Pension Scheme. Similarly, various political parties have been demanding the implementation of the old pension scheme in Tamil Nadu. In this context, a letter was written on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Civil Servants Union to the Government of Tamil Nadu regarding the status of the old pension scheme.

In response to this letter, Gopala Krishnan, the pro-government secretary for finance, said in a reply letter to the Tamil Nadu Civil Servants' Union that their attention was drawn to the letter and that it was only the department's request to cancel their contributory pension scheme and take action to implement the old pension scheme. On or before 1.4.2003, a panel of experts was set up to submit its report to the Government, which was set up to look into the possibility of abolishing the contributory pension scheme for employees and teachers in the civil service and reviving the old pension scheme. இந்தநிலையில், மேற்குவங்கம், ராஜஸ்தான் மற்றும் சத்தீஸ்கர் ஆகிய மாநில அரசுகள் புதிய ஓய்வூதியத் திட்டத்தை ரத்து செய்தன. கேரளா, டெல்லி, ஆந்திர மாநிலங்களின் அரசுகள், வல்லுநர் குழுவின் அறிக்கையைப் பெற்று பழைய பயனளிப்பு ஓய்வூதியத் திட்டத்தை நடைமுறைப்படுத்த உள்ளதாக அறிவித்துள்ளன. இதேபோல், தமிழகத்தில் பழைய ஓய்வூதியத் திட்டத்தை நடைமுறைப்படுத்த வேண்டும் என பல்வேறு அரசியல் கட்சிகளும் கோரிக்கை விடுத்து வருகின்றன. இந்தநிலையில், தமிழ்நாடு அரசு பணியாளர் சங்கம் சார்பில் பழைய ஓய்வூதிய திட்டத்தின் நிலை குறித்து தமிழக அரசுக்கு கடிதம் எழுதப்பட்டது. இந்த கடிதத்திற்கு பதிலளித்து நிதித்துறை அரசு சார்பு செயலாளர் கோபால கிருஷ்ணன், தமிழ்நாடு அரசு பணியாளர் சங்கத்திற்கு எழுதியுள்ள பதில் கடிதத்தில் கூறியிருப்பதாவது: கடிதத்தின் மீது தங்கள் கவனம் ஈர்க்கப்படுவதுடன் தங்களுடைய கோரிக்கையான பங்களிப்பு ஓய்வூதியத் திட்டத்தை ரத்து செய்து பழைய ஓய்வூதியத் திட்டத்தை அமல்படுத்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் என்ற கோரிக்கை மட்டும் இத்துறையை சார்ந்தது என்பதால் அது தொடர்பாக கீழ் கண்டவாறு தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது.
