Prevention of second wave of Covid 19 pandemic Implementation of BCP in Banks in the State of Tamilnadu
In view of the second wave of COVID 19 and sudden surge in positive cases in the state of Tamil Nadu the following decisions have been taken to mitigate the spread of the Corona Virus after due consultation with the Stake holders and Government of Tamil Nadu. The Guidelines shall be in force from 26.04.2021 to 30.04.2021 and shall be reviewed based on the situation prevailing then. Guidelines
> The Business Hours for the Bank branches in the State would be 10.00 AM to 2.00 PM.Administrative/Zonal/Regional offices/backoffices etc. where the staff do not have direct contact with the Public shall function under normal working hours.
> Where ever possible cluster based functioning of branches in consultation with the local administration shall be adopted.
> Staffs with co-morbidities conditions, pregnant women, visually challenged may be given the option of work from home by the relevant authorities of the concerned banks.
> Aadhar Enrolment Centre functions shall be suspended. > Branches that are routinely facing huge crowd, shall seek the help of police for crowd management, by taking up through the Lead District Manager.
Branches functioning in the areas declared as Containment Zones, if any. shall continue to be guided by the directions given by the appropriate authorities.
Banks to ensure that all alternate delivery channels such as bank ATMS/CDM/ Cash recyclers shall be functional.
> Business Correspondents services should be fully functional at all times.
> Bank shall encourage all their eligible staff members to avail of the vaccination facility for themselves as well as for their family members. In this regard, LDMS shall impress upon the District Administrationto vaccinate bank employees and their family members on priority basis.
