***** ORDER:
In the reference first read above the Hon'ble Chief Minister has announced that relief would be provided to the family of the Officials of all Department including Health, Police, Local bodies and Conservancy workers involved in COVID-19 duty.
2. Based on the reports received from various District Collectors and Head of Departments, the Principal Secretary/ Commissioner of Revenue Administration has submitted the details of such deceased staff in the reference second read above.
3. The Government after careful examination of the proposal of the Principal Secretary/ Commissioner of Revenue Administration and accord sanction a sum of Rs. 25,00,000/- each to the following 28 family /legal heirs of Government Servants/local body employees who were engaged in frontline COVID-19 related work, contract COVID-19 and lost their lives: 4. The Deputy Secretary to Government and Treasurer [CMPRF) is authorized to send a cheque for an amount of Rs.2,00,00,000 (Rupees two crore only) in the name of the Commissioner, Greater Chennai Corporation, Rs.1,00,00,000 (Rupees one crore only) in the name of the District Collector, Chennai, Rs.50,00,000 (Rupees fifty lakh only) in the name of the District Collector, Kancheepuram, Rs.50,00,000 (Rupees fifty lakh only) in the name of the District Collector, Chengalpattu, Rs.75,00,000 (Rupees seventy five lakh only) in the name of the District Collector, Virudhunagar, Rs.50,00,000 (Rupees fifty lakh only) in the name of the District Collector, Thiruvallur, Rs. 25,00,000 (Rupees twenty five lakh only) in the name of the District Collector Tiruchirappalli, Rs.25,00,000 (Rupees twenty five lakh only) in the name of the District Collector, Salem, Rs.25,00,000 (Rupees twenty five lakh only) in the name of the District Collector Tirunelveli, Rs.25,00,000 (Rupees twenty five lakh only) in the name of the District Collector, Thanjavur, Rs.25,00,000 (Rupees twenty five lakh only) in the name of the District Collector, Cuddalore and Rs.50,00,000 (Rupees fifty lakh only) in the name of Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation as sanctioned in the paragraph 3 above. 5. The Commissioner, Greater Chennai Corporation, District Collectors, Chennai, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Virudhunagar, Thiruvallur, Tiruchirappalli, Salem, Tirunelveli, Thanjavur, Cuddalore and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation are directed to settle the amount to the deceased family by cheque or through postal saving bank account by following the due procedure and requested to send the stamped acknowledgement, counter signed by the officers of the deceased person from the Chief Minister Public Relief Fund from other funds, not below the rank of Tahsildar or equivalent to the Deputy Secretary to Government and Treasurer, Finance [CMPRF) Department, Chennai-600009 along with a copy marked to the Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
6. This order issue with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.2595/FS/P/2020, dated 05.08.2020. (BY ORDER OF THE GOVERNOR)
