TNTEU- Submission of M.Phil Research Proposal for 2021 -2022 Batch – Reg.

I am by direction, to inform you that the Colleges of Education affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, offering M.Phil (One Year) Semster Pattern Programme adhere with M.Phil Regulations and Syllabus from the academic year 2020-2021 onwards. The Principal shall constitute a three member Research Advisory Committee including the supervisor of the candidate at the M.Phil level to monitor the research activities of the College.
The students (admitted during the academic year 2021-2022 only) should submit one research proposal (not exceeding 7 pages) as per the guidelines of the Research Advisory Committee of the concerned College. The Research Advisory Committee shall scrutinize the research proposal and duly signed and forward to the Controller of Examinations, Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University for approval in the prescribed Excel format to the following Email ID: tnteumphilresearch@gmail.com and the hard copy of the same should be addressed to the Controller of the Examinations on or before 06.07.202 GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF M.Phil RESEARCH PROPOSAL
Every M.Phil. candidate should submit his/her research proposals in the format as given below.
1.0 Statement of the Problem
State the research problem that you have chosen. A problem often implies that a controversy or difference of opinion exists. Research problems can be derived from theory, prior research results, or personal observation and experiences.
2.0 Title of Study
Write the title of your research problem.
3.0 Significance of the Study
Briefly mention the usefulness of the research. Indicate the benefits of the research findings. 4.0 Review of Related Literature Make a brief review of literature relevant to your research problem.
5.0 Hypotheses
Formulate a major hypothesis based on the variables of your research problem. You can formulate some minor hypotheses, too. Hypotheses should be generally based on prior research and / or theory. The hypotheses can be stated in a declarative or question form.
6.0 Methods
6.1 Subjects:
Indicate the population from which you plan to select the sample.
Indicate the sample size: The number of subjects to be selected from the population.
Sampling technique: Indicate where and how the subjects are to be selected.
6.2 Procedure:
Outline the research plan:
Explain the procedure that you are going to follow in carrying out the study. Indicate what data will be needed and what data gathering devices (research tools) will be used.
6.3 Data Analysis:
