TN SPARK (Tamil Nadu School Programme for Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Knowledge of Online Tools) is a flagship educational initiative launched by the Government of Tamil Nadu to integrate emerging technologies into the state's school curriculum.

Core Objectives

Democratise AI Education: Ensure students in government schools, regardless of their background, gain access to future-ready technology.

Bridge the Digital Divide: Offer structured digital literacy and AI training to rural and underprivileged students.

Future Readiness: Prepare students for a technology-driven world by teaching coding, robotics, and problem-solving. Key Features

Target Group: Designed primarily for students in Classes 6 to 9.

Curriculum Focus: Includes foundational computer science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), coding, robotics, and the use of online tools.

Practical Learning: Sessions are hands-on, often conducted in Hi-Tech Labs or Smart Classrooms already established across the state.

Teacher Training: The program includes district-level training for Mathematics and Science teachers to help them effectively use tools like GeoGebra, Python, and cloud computing in their teaching.

Implementation & Partners

Government Bodies: Led by the Department of School Education (DSE) in collaboration with SCERT and Samagra Shiksha (SS).

NGO Support: Partners like the iExplore Foundation and the India Literacy Project (ILP) provide educational volunteers and practical support to deliver these sessions in schools.

Corporate Collaboration: Includes involvement from corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives like Cognizant Outreach for AI training.
