Ref: Executive Director, Tamilnadu Science and Technology Centre, Chennai-25, Letter No. 1555/P1/2020/ Dated 22- 07-2020 INSPIRE Award Manak Scheme is being implemented for the benefit of the school students in our state. The Chief Educational Officers are presently serving as District Nodal Officers (DNOs) for the programme.

Due to the prevalence of the epidemic, National Innovation Foundation and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India propose to conduct District Level Exhibition and Project Competitions (DLEPCs) and State Level Exhibition and Project Competitions (SLEPC) through online this year. Moreover, the number of nominees for the scheme have to be increased considerably. National Innovation Foundation and Department of Science and Technology proposes to organise an online meeting of the teachers and block level officers of our state, to sensitise the science teachers on the issues like new enhanced benefits, facilities, new procedures and features in the INSPIRE Award MANAK Scheme and to have a brainstorming session on the implementation of the scheme with enhanced student enrolments. In the reference to the letter cited, all the District Nodal officers (Chief Educational Officers) are requested to depute about 120 motivated science teachers and block level officers involved in the implementation of the INSPIRE MANAK Scheme, from each district to attend the on-line meeting. The nominations may be sent before 4.8.2020. The date of the online meeting will be intimated subsequently.
