In the reference letter cited, Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) has launched a
National Program “Responsible Al for Youth” with an objective to clarify Al (Artificial
Intelligence) for Youth and equip them with skill sets and the mind-set required for Al
readiness; democratize access to Al tools and train youth to use them skillfully and
enable youth to create meaningful social impact solutions as evidence of achievement.
This Program was launched by the Hon'ble Minister of Electronics & Information
Technology, Communications and Law & Justice, on May 30, 2020 in New Delhi.
The Program has been designed in collaboration with Intel India and is open to
only students from Government schools and provides them with an opportunity to
become part of the skilled Repo Blogspot.
All the Chief Educationa rS are req to ora
Awardees and Computer teachers in their district to self-nominate as per the criteria
given in the Information Manual enclosed. The teachers will be provided orientation
sessions aimed to help them understand the premise and identify potential students for
the program. Students selection criteria will be shared during the orientation sessions.
Each nominated teacher will identify 25-60 students from their respective schools and
share their details with the organizing team.
The identified students will attend online training sessions wherein they will be
introduced to Al (Artificial Intelligence) and taken through an ideation (ideas and
solution) process to help them think of social impact ideas/ projects that may be created
using Al (Artificial Intelligence)
Students will then be encouraged to participate in the online Program and submit
their ideas through a 60 seconds video explaining a proposed Al enabled solution.
All the Chief Educational officers are requested to instruct all the ICT National
Awardees of their district to Co-ordinate with this programme. They should help other
computer teachers also to self nominate for the above said programme in the website
