போலீசார் எச்சரிக்கை!!
அரசு அலுவலக ஊழியர்கள் சிலர் தங்களுடைய சொந்த வாகனங்களின் நம்பர் பிளேட்டில் , பணியாற்றும் துறையின் பெயரை ஸ்டிக்கராக ஒட்டியிருப்பதை பார்க்க முடிகிறது.
pol இந்த நிலையில் தனியார் வாகனங்களில் அத்தகைய ‘ஸ்டிக்கர்’களை ஒட்டுவதற்கு போலீசார் கட்டுப்பாடுகளை விதித்துள்ளனர்.
இதுதொடர்பாக சென்னை போக்குவரத்து போலீசார் வெளியிட்டுள்ள அறிவிப்பில் கூறியிருப்பதாவது: ‘சொந்த வாகனங்களின் நம்பர் பிளேட்டில் ஸ்டிக்கர்கள் அல்லது வேறு ஏதேனும் சின்னங்கள் வடிவில் தங்களது துறை அடையாளங்களை வெளிப்படுத்துவது, தனி நபர்களுக்கும் மற்றும் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட துறைகளுக்கும் சிக்கல்களை ஏற்படுத்துகிறது.
பெரும்பாலும், சென்னையில் உள்ள தனியார் வாகனங்களில் பத்திரிகை, தலைமைச் செயலகம், டிஎன்இபி, ஜிசிசி, காவல்துறை, முப்படை போன்ற துறைகள் அல்லது நிறுவனங்களின் பெயர்களைக் காணலாம்.
இது போன்ற ஸ்டிக்கர்கள் வாகன எண் தகட்டிலும், வேறு பகுதியிலும் காணப்படும்.
இத்தகைய அரசாங்கத் தொடர்புடைய சின்னங்கள்/எழுத்துக்களை தனியார் வாகனங்களில் வெளிப்படுத்துவது அதன் இயக்கம் மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பை சமரசம் செய்கிறது. கூடுதலாக, குற்றம் சாட்டப்பட்டவர்களும் வாகனத்தில் இத்தகைய ஸ்டிக்கர்களை தவறாக பயன்படுத்தி வருகிறார்கள் இதனால் காவல்துறையின் கடுமையான நடவடிக்கைகளில் இருந்து தப்பித்து வருகிறார்கள்.
இது தவிர, பல தனியார் வாகனங்களில் ஒருசில அரசியல் கட்சியை சித்தரிக்கும் சின்னங்கள், மருத்துவர் அல்லது வழக்கறிஞர் என வெளிப் படுத்துவதும் கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது.
எனவே, இதுபோன்ற எழுத்து, முத்திரை, சின்னம் போன்றவற்றை வாகனத்தில் இருந்து நீக்க மே 1-ம் தேதி வரை அவகாசம் வழங்கப்படுகிறது.
இந்த விதி மீறலில் ஈடுபடுபவர்கள் மீது வரும் மே 2 ஆம் தேதி முதல் மோட்டார் வாகன சட்டம் 1988-ன் கீழ் கடுமையான நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும்”

Restriction of Unauthorized Stickering in Private Vehicle
The exposure of department identities in the form of stickers or any another symbol/marks in a private vehicle or in its number plate can have a wide-ranging negative impacts on the individual as well as the concerned departments.
Mostly, the name of the departments/institutions such as PRESS, Secretariat, TNEB, GCC, DEFENCE including POLICE department can be seen in private vehicles in Chennai City. These implications are either exposed in number plate are any other part of the vehicle. Revealing such government affiliation in private vehicles could compromise operating efficiency and safety. Also, it may it may lead to misuse of department's reputation and also deviate officers and police personnel during their field duty.
In addition to this, there are also many private vehicles found to have symbols or logos/emblems depicting a political party, exposing as a doctor or an advocate. Considering the seriousness of this fact, Greater Chennai Traffic Police hereby warns the road users against these practices and provides a time period till 01.05.2024 to correct and rectify.
From 02.05.2024 onwards, strict action will be taken against the violators by booking cases u/s 198 of MV Act 1988 (Unauthorized interference with motor vehicle) and CMV Rule 50 u/s 177 of MV act (defective number plate). Road users are requested to be aware of this and co-operate.
