அரசுப் பணிகளில் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு 4% இட ஒதுக்கீடு வழங்குவதை கண்காணிக்க அனைத்து துறைகளிலும் அதிகாரிகள் நியமனம்.

ORDER:


The Rights of persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 has been enacted in the parliament by repealing the old persons with Disabilities, Act 1995 and the same has been published in the Gazette on 28th December 2016.


2) In the new Act, various principles for empowerment of persons with disabilities like respect for inherent dignity, individual autonomy, non-discrimination, full and effective participation etc., have been laid down. 3) The Government has issued the orders regarding 4% reservation to the Persons with Disabilities in all State Public Services/ Public Sector Undertakings/ Boards/Corporations/ Educational Institutions under all kinds of Managements (like Government, Local Bodies and Aided Management including Universities) as envisaged in the section 34(1) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 vide the G.0.1st cited.


4) One of the schemes announced by them Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister during the Budget Speech for the year 2020-2021 is that "a Special drive will be launched to clear backlog vacancies and ensure that the differently abled are given 4% reservation in employment in Government Departments and PSUs".


5) All the Head of Department have been requested to appoint Nodal Officer for the purpose of implementing 4% reservation in employment to the differently abled persons as stipulated in Section 34 of the Rights of persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.


6) Accordingly, Thiru.V.K.Anandkumar, Deputy Director (Textiles), Commissionerate of Handlooms and Textiles, Chennai was appointed as "Nodal Officer" for above purpose vide reference 4th cited.

Commissionerate of Handlooms and Textiles, Chennai was transferred and posted as Deputy Director /Managing Director, Pudukottai District Co-operative Spinning Mills Limited, Aranthangi vide the reference 5th cited.


8) Hence, Thiru.R.Ganesan, Deputy Director(Textiles), Commissionerate of Handlooms and Textiles, Chennai is hereby appointed as "Nodal Officer" for above purpose.


9) The Nodal Officer is responsible for the entire process of the special recruitment drive commencing from identifying of backlog vacancies till the recruitment is completed.
