Samagra Shiksha -Tamil Nadu School Education - Conduct of Term 2- Summative Assessment and Half-Yearly Examination for Classes 6 to 12-regarding

Assessment cell discussion meeting on forthcoming Half-yearly Examination was held on 08 11 2023 headed by State Project Director. During the meeting, it was discussed that the assessment cell of SCERT will prepare questions for conduct Term-2 Summative and Half-yearly examination for classes 6 to 12 in December 2023 In addition to this, it is also discussed that the time table should be prepared for class 6 to 12 for Term 2 - Summative and Half-Yearly exam. In specific, the dates for the Hall-Yearly exam for Class 11 and 12 will commence from December 07 to December 22 and similarly, from December 11 to December 21 for class 6 to 10.

In this milieu, the Summative / Half-Yearly Examination time table for Classes 6 to 10 and Higher Secondary (Classes 11 and 12) have been prepared by SCERT and the same is enclosed herewith for information.

Based on the discussion held, Assessment Cell, SCERT will prepare 2 sets of question papers from class 6 to 12 for Term -2 summative and Half- Yearly examination In specific class 6 to 8 question papers for all medium will be uploaded in the portal for download on the previous day (2 pm) for every exam. The SOP to conduct the descriptive exam has been prepared by Assessment Cell, SCERT and the same is enclosed herewith. In this regard, the Director, Directorate of School Education and Directorate of Elementary Education is requested to communicate the Proceedings regarding the Term - 2 summative and Half-Yearly exam to all the Districts as early as possible for the smooth conduct of Examination at field level.
