உயர் கல்வி நிலையங்களில் எந்த மதத்தையும் சேராத மாணவர்களுக்கு சலுகை: உயர் நீதிமன்றம் உத்தரவு

The Kerala government has been directed by the Kerala government not to deny educational benefits to economically backward students on the grounds of non-religion. 5 students from Kerala recently filed a case in the Kerala High Court. In their petition, they said, 'We are economically backward and do not belong to any religion. When we applied to the college for higher education, we were denied the Economic Backward Benefit. This concession is being given to the economically backward 164 communities born in high society. But the government has said that they cannot give us concessions,' they said. In the order issued by Justice Arun after hearing the case, 'Economically backward students should not be denied benefits on the grounds of lack of religion. All the benefits given to the economically backward people born in high society should be given to them,'' he said.

பொருளாதாரத்தில் பின்தங்கிய மாணவர்களுக்கு மதமில்லை என்ற காரணத்திற்காக கல்வி சலுகைகளை நிராகரிக்கக் கூடாது என்று கேரள அரசுக்கு உயர் நீதிமன்றம் உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது. கேரளாவை சேர்ந்த 5 மாணவர்கள், கேரள உயர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் சமீபத்தில் வழக்கு தொடர்ந்தனர். தங்கள் மனுவில் அவர்கள், ‘பொருளாதாரத்தில் பின்தங்கிய நாங்கள், எந்த மதத்தையும் சாராதவர்கள்.

உயர் கல்வி படிப்பதற்காக கல்லூரியில் விண்ணப்பித்தபோது, பொருளாதாரத்தில் பின் தங்கியவர்களுக்கான சலுகை எங்களுக்கு நிராகரிக்கப்பட்டது. உயர் சமூகத்தில் பிறந்த பொருளாதாரத்தில் பின்தங்கிய 164 சமூகத்தை சேர்ந்தவர்களுக்கு இந்த சலுகை வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. ஆனால், எங்களுக்கு சலுகை வழங்க முடியாது என்று அரசு தெரிவித்துள்ளது,’ என்று கூறியிருந்தனர். வழக்கை விசாரித்து நீதிபதி அருண் பிறப்பித்த உத்தரவில், ‘பொருளாதாரத்தில் பின்தங்கிய மாணவர்களுக்கு மதம் இல்லை என்ற காரணத்திற்காக சலுகைகளை நிராகரிக்கக் கூடாது. உயர் சமூகத்தில் பிறந்த பொருளாதாரத்தில் பின்தங்கியவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படும் அனைத்து சலுகைகளையும் இவர்களுக்கும் வழங்க வேண்டும்,’ என்று தெரிவித்தார்.
