Officials said that Anna University is going to release the rank list for engineering admission the day after tomorrow. So far 2.11 lakh people have applied for engineering courses in Tamil Nadu. Among them, 1.69 lakh people who have completed the application process like payment and certificate uploading have qualified for the consultation.
Admission for these students will be held soon. Of this, 55 to 60 per cent government reserved seats in self-financed colleges and 1 lakh 96 thousand 627 B.E., B.Tech seats, about 900 seats in Annamalai University, 10 thousand seats in affiliated colleges of Anna University and 2 thousand 270 seats in Anna University campus colleges in Chennai. Places and B.Arch. 106 seats are available in the course.
434 engineering colleges are going to participate in this year's consultation. Since 2018, the number of colleges has been decreasing every year as 509, 480, 461, 440. Accordingly, the number of colleges has decreased in the current year as well. Despite the decline in the number of colleges, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is in emerging areas including CSE, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security and Internet of Things. This year the number of admission seats has increased due to the admission of additional students.
In this situation, the rank list for the current year's engineering course is going to be published tomorrow (Tuesday). From 20th (Saturday) to 23rd following the ranking list, the consultation will be held for the special categories of sports, differently abled, children of ex-servicemen and 7.5 percent internal quota for government school students. After that, the consultation for the general category will be held from 25th to 21st October.

இதில் சுயநிதி கல்லூரிகளில் 55 முதல் 60 சதவீதம் அரசு ஒதுக்கீட்டு இடங்களாக ஒரு லட்சத்து 96 ஆயிரத்து 627 பி.இ., பி.டெக், இடங்களும், அண்ணாமலை பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் சுமார் 900 இடங்களும், அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழக உறுப்பு கல்லூரிகளில் 10 ஆயிரம் இடங்களும், சென்னையில் உள்ள அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழக வளாக கல்லூரிகளில் உள்ள 2 ஆயிரத்து 270 இடங்களும், பி.ஆர்க். படிப்பில் 106 இடங்களும் வருகின்றன.
நடப்பாண்டு கலந்தாய்வில் 434 இன்ஜினியரிங் கல்லூரிகள் இடம்பெற உள்ளது. கடந்த 2018-ம் ஆண்டு முதல் முறையே கல்லூரிகளின் எண்ணிக்கையை பார்க்கையில் 509, 480, 461, 440 என ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் குறைந்து வருகிறது. அதன்படி, நடப்பாண்டிலும் கல்லூரிகளின் எண்ணிக்கை குறைந்துள்ளது.

இந்த நிலையில் நடப்பாண்டுக்கான இன்ஜினியரிங் படிப்புக்கு தரவரிசை பட்டியல் நாளை மறு நாள் (செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை) வெளியிடப்பட உள்ளது. தரவரிசை பட்டியலை தொடர்ந்து வருகிற 20ம் தேதி (சனிக்கிழமை) முதல் 23தேதி வரை விளையாட்டு, மாற்றுத்திறனாளி, முன்னாள் படைவீரர்களின் குழந்தைகள், அரசு பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்கான 7.5 சதவீத உள் ஒதுக்கீடு ஆகிய சிறப்பு பிரிவினருக்கான கலந்தாய்வு நடைபெற உள்ளது. அதன் பின்னர், பொதுப் பிரிவினருக்கான கலந்தாய்வு வருகிற 25ம் தேதி முதல் அக்டோபர் மாதம் 21ம் தேதி வரை நடத்தப்பட இருக்கிறது.
