Draft Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles (Regulation and Control of School Buses) Special Rules, 2012.
No. SRO B-34/2022. The following draft amendment to the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles (Regulation and Control of School Buses) Special Rules, 2012, which is proposed to be made in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (xxxiii) of sub-section (2) of Section 96, Section 111 and sub-section (2) of Section 138 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988), is hereby published for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby, as required by sub-section (1) of Section 212 of the said Act.
2. Notice is hereby given that the draft amendment will be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this Notification in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette and that any objection or suggestion, which may be received from any person with respect thereto before the expiry of the aforesaid period will be considered by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
3. Objection or suggestion, if any, should be addressed in duplicate to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government,

In the said Rules, in rule 6, after sub-rule (16), the following sub-rule shall be added, namely:
"(17) Fixing of cameras and sensor.- In every School Bus,
(a) A camera shall be fixed at the front end.
(b) A camera shall be fixed at the rear end in such a manner that the driver while taking reverse can have a complete view of the rear side.
(c) A sensor shall also be fixed at the rear end to give warning signal".
