The Tamil Nadu government has boycotted the All State Education Ministers' Conference starting today in Gujarat.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Internet Minister Subhash Sarkar, Education Ministers and senior officials from all states and Union Territories will attend the conference in Gujarat today and tomorrow.
The conference will discuss the implementation of the National Education Policy and the improvement of school infrastructure.
In this situation, the Tamil Nadu government has decided not to participate in the conference despite the invitation. Following this, Higher Education Minister Ponmudi and School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh did not attend the conference.

குஜராத்தில் இன்று தொடங்கும் அனைத்து மாநில கல்வி அமைச்சர்கள் மாநாட்டை தமிழக அரசு புறக்கணித்துள்ளது.
மத்திய கல்வி அமைச்சர் தர்மேந்திர பிரதான், இணையமைச்சர் சுபாஷ் சர்கார், அனைத்து மாநில மற்றும் யுனியன் பிரதேசங்களின், கல்வி அமைச்சர்கள், உயர் அதிகாரிகள் பங்கேற்கும் மாநாடு இன்றும், நாளையும் குஜராத்தில் நடைபெறவுள்ளது.
தமிழக அரசு புறக்கணிப்பு
இந்த மாநாட்டில் தேசிய கல்விக் கொள்கையை செயல்படுத்துவது, பள்ளி கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளை மேம்படுத்துவது குறித்து விவாதிக்கவுள்ளனர்.
இந்நிலையில், மாநாட்டிற்கு அழைப்பு வந்தபோதும் பங்கேற்க போவதில்லை என்று தமிழக அரசு முடிவெடுத்துள்ளது. இதையடுத்து, உயர்கல்வித் துறை அமைச்சர் பொன்முடி, பள்ளிக்கல்வித் துறை அமைச்சர் அன்பில் மகேஷ் ஆகியோர் இந்த மாநாட்டில் பங்கேற்கவில்லை.
