தமிழக பல்கலைகளில் துணைவேந்தர்களை மாநில அரசே நியமிக்கும் சட்ட மசோதாவை சட்டசபையில் தி.மு.க., தாக்கல் செய்து குரல் வாக்கெடுப்பு மூலம் நிறைவேற்றியுள்ளதன் மூலம் உயர்கல்வியில் கவர்னருக்கும், தமிழக அரசுக்கும் இடையேஎழுந்துள்ள 'அரசியல் சடுகுடு' சர்ச்சை கல்வியாளர்களை கவலையடையச் செய்துள்ளது. இதுகுறித்து அவர்கள் கூறியதாவது:
அரசியல் தலையீடு அதிகரிக்கும்
பாலகுருசாமி, முன்னாள் துணைவேந்தர், அண்ணா பல்கலை: துணைவேந்தர்களை பிரிட்டிஷ் காலத்தில் இருந்தே கவர்னர் தான் நியமித்து வருகிறார். இது தான் அனைத்து மாநிலங்களிலும் பின்பற்றப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
யு.ஜி.சி., செயல்முறை விதிகளிலும் கவர்னர் தான் நியமிக்க வேண்டும் என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.இதை மாற்றி, 'மாநில பல்கலைகளில் துணைவேந்தர்களை தமிழக அரசே நியமிக்க வேண்டும்' என்ற அரசின் மசோதாவால் அரசியல் தலையீடுகள் அதிகரிக்கும். 2006 முதல் 2016 வரை மாநில அரசுடன் இணக்கமாக செயல்பட்ட கவர்னர்களால் அரசியல் பின்னணியுடன், அரசியல்வாதி மருமகள், மருமகன், அமைச்சர்கள் சிபாரிசுப்படி தான் துணைவேந்தர்கள் நியமிக்கப்பட்டனர். 15 ஆண்டுகளாக தமிழக பல்கலைகளில் நடந்த பேராசிரியர்கள், பேராசிரியர் அல்லாத பணியிடங்கள் அரசியல் பின்னணியில் தான் நிரப்பப்பட்டன. நேர்மையானவர்களுக்கும், நல்லவர்களுக்கும் தகுதி இருந்தும் துணைவேந்தர் பதவிக்கு வாய்ப்பில்லாமல் போனது.இதற்கு பல உதாரணங்களை குறிப்பிடலாம்.
தமிழகத்தில் பன்வாரிலால் புரேஹித் கவர்னராக பொறுப்பேற்ற பின் தான் துணைவேந்தர்கள் அரசியல் தலையீடு இல்லாமல்நியமிக்கப்பட்டனர். இது தமிழக அரசியல்வாதிகளுக்கு பிடிக்கவில்லை. இந்த மசோதாவுக்கு ஒப்புதல் அளிக்கப்பட்டால் துணைவேந்தர்கள் சுதந்திரமாக செயல்பட முடியாது.
ஏற்கெனவே தமிழகத்தில் உயர்கல்வியின் தரம் கீழ்நோக்கி செல்கிறது.இதனால் மேலும் மோசமான சூழ்நிலைக்கு செல்லும். 'திராவிட மாடல்' எனக் கூறி இதுபோன்ற செயல்களை தற்போதைய ஆட்சியாளர்கள் செய்கின்றனர். கல்வித் தரத்தில் இது மோசமான விளைவுகளை தான் ஏற்படுத்தும் இது தவிர்க்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
ஊசலாட்டத்திற்குமுடிவு கிடைக்கும்
திருமலை, முன்னாள் துணைவேந்தர்: தற்போதைய நிலையில், கவர்னருக்கும், மாநில அரசுக்கும் இடையே துணைவேந்தர்கள் செயல்படுவது என்பது மிகப் பெரிய ஊசலாட்டமான விஷயமாகத்தான் உள்ளது. நீண்ட காலமாக இதுபோன்ற இக்கட்டான சூழ்நிலையை துணைவேந்தர்கள் சந்தித்து வருகின்றனர்.
தமிழக அரசின் இந்த சட்ட மசோதா மூலம் துணைவேந்தர்களுக்கு நிம்மதி கிடைக்கும். பல்கலை பட்டமளிப்பு விழாவில் அறிக்கையை வாசிப்பது மட்டுமே துணைவேந்தர்களின் நிலையாக உள்ளது. எனவே பல்கலை துணைச் சட்ட விதிகளிலும் துணைவேந்தர்களின் செயல்பாடுகளுக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் அளிக்கும் வகையில் மாற்றம் ஏற்படுத்த வேண்டும்.இவ்வாறு தெரிவித்தனர்.
