Admission of students has started in the newly started Karur Agricultural College.
State Electricity, Prohibition and Excise Minister V Senthilpalaji had promised before the election that steps would be taken to set up a government agricultural college in Karur district. Accordingly, after the DMK took over the administration, it was announced that 4 agricultural colleges will be declared in 4 districts including Karur in the academic year 2021-2022 and the admission of students will be done in the academic year 2021 and 2022. It has been announced that the College of Agriculture will be functioning temporarily at the Karur Corporation Multipurpose Center.
Balasubramanian took over as Nodal Officer, Karur Agricultural College and Research Station last September. College of Agriculture 2021-2022 Student Admission Consultation Due to NEED Exam and Corona last Apr. Expired on the 10th.
Following this, enrollment began yesterday (Apr. 18) at 18 Government Agricultural Colleges and Research Centers, including 4 in Karur, Nagapattinam, Chettinad and Krishnagiri. It is learned that Chief Minister MK Stalin will soon start the first year classes of the new Agricultural College and the ceremony will be held with the participation of State Electricity, Prohibition and Excise Minister V. Senthilpalaji, Collector. Following this, the site for the Agricultural College in Karur district will be selected and new buildings will be constructed.

கரூர் மாவட்டத்தில் அரசு வேளாண்மைக் கல்லூரி அமைக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும் என மாநில மின்சாரம், மதுவிலக்கு மற்றும் ஆயத்தீர்வைத்துறை அமைச்சர் வி.செந்தில்பாலாஜி தேர்தலுக்கு முன் வாக்குறுதி அளித்திருந்தார். அதன்படி திமுக ஆட்சி பொறுப்பேற்றப் பிறகு கரூர் உள்ளிட்ட 4 மாவட்டங்களில் 2021 2022ம் கல்வியாண்டில் 4 வேளாண்மைக் கல்லூரிகள் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டு 2021, 2022ம் கல்வியாண்டிலேயே மாணவர்கள் சேர்க்கை மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது. கரூர் மாநகராட்சி பன்நோக்கு மையக்கட்டிடத்தில் தற்காலிகமாக வேளாண்மைக் கல்லூரி செயல்படும் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.

இதையடுத்து புதிதாக தொடங்கப்பட்ட கரூர், நாகப்பட்டினம், செட்டிநாடு, கிருஷ்ணகிரி ஆகிய 4 உள்ளிட்ட 18 அரசு வேளாண்மைக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையங்களில் நேற்று (ஏப். 18ம் தேதி) மாணவர் சேர்க்கை தொடங்கியது. கரூர் மாநகராட்சி பல்நோக்கு மையக்கட்டிடத்தில் செயல்படும் கரூர் மாவட்ட வேளாண்மை மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலையத்தில் மாணவர்கள் சேர்க்கை நேற்று தொடங்கி தொடர்ந்து நடந்து வருகிறது. 50 முதல் 60 இடங்கள் வழங்கப்படும் என தெரிகிறது.
